15th – 21st September is Rehab Awareness Week, a chance to shine a light on the power of rehabilitation and why it should never be overlooked.
Within the NHS, rehab is recognised as a vital part of recovery and long-term health. But in private healthcare, it can sometimes be under-appreciated, with people often focusing on quick fixes or short-term treatment. At goPhysio, we believe rehab is just as crucial as diagnosis or initial treatment. It’s what helps people get back to living the life they love, whether that’s returning to work, getting back on the pitch, or simply enjoying everyday activities without pain.
That’s why we’ve created a dedicated rehab and prehab space in our clinic (AKA The Strong Room), supported by our specialist Sports & Rehab team. From preparing for surgery (“prehab”), to guided recovery afterwards, and rebuilding strength after injury, we provide tailored, progressive programmes that go far beyond symptom relief. Our specialist Clinical Pilates sits alongside this and is also a wonderful and effective way to access both prehab and rehab.
Rehab makes possible what many people think is out of reach. It’s the difference between managing and thriving.
This Rehab Awareness Week, we’re proud to stand with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in calling for universal access to rehab – because everyone has the right to rebuild their lives.
