I qualified in 2003 with a BSc Physiotherapy and have over 20 years’ experience working across the NHS, private practice and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I am a Chartered Physiotherapist, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
At goPhysio, I help people with a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including low back pain, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, hip pain, greater trochanteric pain syndrome, femoroacetabular impingement, knee pain, patellofemoral pain, ITB syndrome, Achilles and quadriceps tendinopathy, and rotator cuff-related shoulder pain.
I particularly enjoy working with runners, people returning to sport after injury, women wanting to stay active through menopause, and older adults who want to maintain mobility, strength and independence. My approach is calm, thorough and collaborative. I take time to listen, understand your goals and explain clearly what may be contributing to your symptoms. Together, we create a realistic treatment and rehabilitation plan that fits around your life and helps you move forward with confidence.
Running injuries are a particular area of interest for me. I enjoy helping runners understand the cause of their symptoms and developing realistic short and long-term rehabilitation plans that support a safe, graded return to running. I also have a strong interest in exercise-based rehabilitation for active ageing and supporting women through menopause.
I believe the first appointment should never feel rushed. We’ll talk through what has brought you in, what you are worried about, what you want to get back to and what matters most to you. I’ll carry out a thorough assessment, explain my findings clearly and agree realistic goals with you. Rehabilitation is a partnership, and I want every patient to feel informed, reassured and involved in decisions about their treatment.
I have completed Society of Orthopaedic Medicine Levels 1–3, Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists training, APPI Matwork Pilates Levels 1–3 and Level 4 Sports Massage. This means I can combine hands-on physiotherapy, acupuncture, Clinical Pilates, Pilates-based rehabilitation, sports massage and progressive exercise rehabilitation to support recovery in a way that is appropriate and achievable.
I also have experience working with post-operative orthopaedic patients, particularly following hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as recreational runners and active adults recovering from injury.
Patients often come to me saying, “I just want to get back to running,” “I’m worried this pain isn’t going to go away,” or “I’m scared of making it worse.” My role is to help you understand what is happening, reduce those worries and build a clear plan for recovery. Patients often tell me they feel listened to, never rushed, reassured and more confident about what to do next.
Outside of work, keeping active has always been an important part of my life. I enjoy running and regularly take part in my local parkrun, as well as having completed several marathons over the years. When time allows, I also enjoy racket sports and keeping fit in different ways.
I’m also a mum to four children, so life is usually busy. I love getting out for long walks with my spaniel, Max, and when it’s time to relax, you’ll usually find me rewatching Friends with my children — and yes, we can quote most of the episodes by heart.

I had a really good visit to GoPhysio. I have had sciatica for two months and it wasn't showing any signs of improvement. Sophie gave me a thorough assessment and then provided acupuncture and ultra sound. After one visit my sciatica has almost gone. I am really pleased.Posted on Google kay luffmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everyone at go physio is so helpful & friendly. I have been attending goPhysio for about two years. As a company they are very professional and provide a very good level of service to include efficiency and courtesy and are always consistent in their approach. This very much includes the admin /reception team whom are the first people you make contact with. My Physio has excellent knowledge and has assisted me with sound advice and ongoing exercise regimes which are achievable and realistic. This has supported me well in between appointments. Although always busy I am normally able to see Roz at a mutually convenient time. Thank you to all the team
