No (unless specified by your health insurance company). We accept direct referrals, minimising any hold ups in your treatment, giving you peace of mind and a positive action plan without any delays.
Wear something comfortable and appropriate for the area of your injury to be assessed thoroughly e.g. shorts for a knee injury. Your modesty will be respected at all times.
Payment is due at the end of every appointment. Our preferred method of payment is by card but we can also take payment online securely via Stripe. We can email over a copy of your receipt if you need it. We do not work directly with any private medical insurance companies. Depending on your policy, you may be able to claim back your fees. We advise that you check the full details of your policy prior to booking an appointment.

There have been many changes with the way health insurance companies cover physiotherapy recently. Subsequently, we require all patients to pay for their physiotherapy appointements up front per appointment. We will provide you with a printed receipt which includes your Physiotherapist’s HCPC number, which you can then provide to your individual insurance company. Depending on your individual policy, you may be able to reclaim some or all of your fees. Policies and cover varies widely now and we are unable to accept any responsibility for the amount you may be able to recaim from your insurance company. You will be responsible for any shortfall.

If you are looking to claim back your fees through your health insurance company, please do let us know, as not all our Clinicians are recognised by health insurance.

We understand that sometimes things come up, however we would appreciate as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment. We just ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hrs notice of any changes to your appointment so that we can re-allocate the appointment. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge. Appointment slots are very valuable and without adequate notice that appointment can’t be used for another patient. We send out both text message & email appointment reminders to help you remember your appointment time.

Please just give us a call or drop us an email if you’d like to change your appointment.

Not really, just yourself! However, if you have had any tests or investigations related to your problem (like a scan or X Ray), it can be helpful to bring these along. If you are being assessed for an injury which uses some equipment, it may be useful to bring this along e.g. running footwear.

We sadly find that some people are sceptical about physio because of their experience of NHS physio. There is immense amount of pressure on NHS services, which unfortunately can limit the input they can provide.

Here at goPhysio, you will have a very different experience. We spend time with you really finding out about you, how the injury or your pain is impacting you and what you’d like to be able to achieve or do. We then set out to put together a comprehensive plan to help you achieve your goals. This may include a huge range of treatments such as manual therapy, acupuncture, shockwave therapy, graded exercises and advice and support. We really find value in offering ‘hands on’ treatments that the NHS can now rarely offer.

Because we have a range of services all on-site, we go beyond the treatment room and back to doing what you want to do!
