Expert Physio to Help You Move Freely Again
Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek physiotherapy and it can affect everything from your sleep and work to how you move day to day.
Whether your pain started suddenly after lifting, has built up over time, or keeps coming back, our experienced physiotherapists will help you understand what’s going on and, more importantly, what to do about it.
At goPhysio, we don’t just treat symptoms – we create a clear, personalised plan to help you:
- Reduce pain
- Restore movement
- Build long-term strength and confidence
What might be causing it?Â
Back pain can have many different causes, and often it’s a combination of factors rather than one single issue. Common causes include:
- Muscle or ligament strain (often from lifting, twisting, or sudden movement)
- Joint stiffness or irritation in the spine
- Disc-related problems (such as a bulge or irritation)
- Postural overload from prolonged sitting or desk work
- Reduced strength or control around the spine
- Stress and tension, which can increase muscle tightness and sensitivity
Sometimes back pain can feel severe, but that doesn’t always mean serious damage – part of our role is helping you understand this clearly and confidently.
Very efficient staff. My back pain treatment through physiotherapy was 100% successful within 3 weeks after having endured this disability for decades. My physiotherapist was clear in his explanations and diagnosis and there was total professionalism which gave me confidence in getting better. Physiotherapy was followed by weekly pilates which is conducted in small groups with a high degree of care and attention. Thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions
There have been many changes with the way health insurance companies cover physiotherapy recently. Subsequently, we require all patients to pay for their physiotherapy appointements up front per appointment. We will provide you with a printed receipt which includes your Physiotherapist’s HCPC number, which you can then provide to your individual insurance company. Depending on your individual policy, you may be able to reclaim some or all of your fees. Policies and cover varies widely now and we are unable to accept any responsibility for the amount you may be able to recaim from your insurance company. You will be responsible for any shortfall.
If you are looking to claim back your fees through your health insurance company, please do let us know, as not all our Clinicains are recognised by health insurance.
We understand that sometimes things come up, however we would appreciate as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment. We just ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hrs notice of any changes to your appointment so that we can re-allocate the appointment. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge. Appointment slots are very valuable and without adequate notice that appointment can’t be used for another patient. We send out both text message & email appointment reminders to help you remember your appointment time.
Please just give us a call or drop us an email if you’d like to change your appointment.
