More About Foot & Ankle Injuries
Given how much work our feet and ankles have to do, it’s not surprising they complain at times!
Common foot and ankle conditions we see include:

- Calcaneal bursitis (pain in the heel of the foot)
- Meta-tarsalgia (pain in the ball of the feet)
- Morton’s neuroma (pins & needles or numbness in the toes)
- Tendonopathies (Tendon injury i.e. achilles, tibias posterior syndrome)
- Ankle sprains
- Arthritis
- Achilles tendinitis
- Recovery after ankle fractures
At goPhysio we aim to put a spring back into your step and resolve your injuries for good!

How We Can Help
At goPhysio we always treat your foot and ankle pain as part of the bigger picture. Not only will we treat your foot itself, but we will look from the foot upwards and from the hip downwards, ensuring we leave you with no issues that will contribute to a re-occurrence.
Having identified all the factors unique to your condition, we will then address and correct them in parallel with hands-on treatments, exercises, advice and education. We can offer a range of effective treatments including shockwave therapy, exercise rehab and acupuncture and you will be provided with a bespoke home exercise programme to self treat at home and speed up your recovery.
We’ll also asses you to see if you’d benefit from orthotics and discuss the range of options available to get you back on your feet a quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
There have been many changes with the way health insurance companies cover physiotherapy recently. Subsequently, we require all patients to pay for their physiotherapy appointements up front per appointment. We will provide you with a printed receipt which includes your Physiotherapist’s HCPC number, which you can then provide to your individual insurance company. Depending on your individual policy, you may be able to reclaim some or all of your fees. Policies and cover varies widely now and we are unable to accept any responsibility for the amount you may be able to recaim from your insurance company. You will be responsible for any shortfall.
If you are looking to claim back your fees through your health insurance company, please do let us know, as not all our Clinicains are recognised by health insurance.
We understand that sometimes things come up, however we would appreciate as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment. We just ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hrs notice of any changes to your appointment so that we can re-allocate the appointment. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge. Appointment slots are very valuable and without adequate notice that appointment can’t be used for another patient. We send out both text message & email appointment reminders to help you remember your appointment time.
Please just give us a call or drop us an email if you’d like to change your appointment.
