Sports & Rehabilitation Therapist

I graduated from Bournemouth University in 2023 with a BSc in Sports Therapy. I am a member of The Society of Sports Therapists and work as a Sports Therapist at goPhysio, helping people understand what is causing their pain or injury, reduce symptoms and build a clear, practical plan to get back to moving well.

I particularly enjoy helping people with sports injuries, knee, ankle and elbow pain, and those who want to return to exercise or sport with confidence. I have a special interest in later-stage exercise rehabilitation, functional progressions and return-to-sport planning, especially for netball, rugby and basketball players.

I have completed APPI Matwork Level One and APPI Matwork Level Two Pilates training, as well as Level 3 Sports Massage, first aid, dry cupping and dry needling training.

My appointments are structured, friendly and hands-on. We start with a conversation about your symptoms, lifestyle, sport, work and goals, then assess how you move. I explain things clearly, without jargon, so you understand what is going on and what we are working towards.

Alongside my work at goPhysio, I support Itchen Basketball Academy as Basketball Academy lead, working with young athletes in a performance environment. This supports my interest in sport-specific rehabilitation, pitch-side care, injury prevention and helping athletes return to training and competition safely.

I also enjoy supporting children and teenagers with injury, movement confidence and return to sport. I have completed additional training through Kids Back 2 Sport, which supports clinicians in assessing and rehabilitating young athletes safely. I also like helping desk-based patients with posture, movement habits and Pilates-based exercises, and supporting people over 60 to build strength, confidence and everyday function.

A big part of my approach is education. Many people come in feeling worried, frustrated or unsure whether they are making things worse. I want patients to leave thinking, “I finally understand what’s going on.” We set expectations together, agree realistic goals and focus on measurable progress rather than guesswork or fixed timelines.

Treatment may include hands-on techniques, sports massage, exercise rehabilitation, dry cupping, dry needling, Pilates-based exercises and clear home exercises. The aim is to help you feel informed, confident and actively involved in your recovery, rather than feeling like you are simply waiting for things to improve.

Outside of work, I love sport — whether that’s rugby, football, netball, tennis or anything competitive. I also help out at a local rugby club providing first aid and support, and I’m known there as the club baker, making sure there is something sweet for the players after every match.
