Pilates Instructor

I qualified from the University of Winchester in 2025 with a BSc Physiotherapy, after spending time at goPhysio as a student physiotherapist. I have now joined the team as an APPI Pilates Instructor and have completed APPI Matwork Level One and APPI Matwork Level Two training.

At goPhysio, I enjoy helping people build strength, improve movement quality and feel more confident in their body through tailored exercise and Pilates-based rehabilitation. My areas of interest include persistent low back pain, rotator cuff-related shoulder pain, knee pain, patellofemoral pain, ACL rehabilitation, meniscal injuries, knee osteoarthritis and thoracic spine pain.

My approach is friendly, supportive and collaborative. I take time to listen, understand what has brought you in, talk through your goals and explain things clearly. My aim is for you to leave feeling informed, reassured and confident about your next steps, with a plan that feels realistic and fits your lifestyle.

I like to make rehabilitation feel approachable and empowering. No two people or injuries are the same, so I enjoy getting to know each patient, understanding what matters to them and creating a plan that works for their body, goals and day-to-day life.

My key areas of interest include exercise rehabilitation and using APPI Pilates principles to help people improve strength, mobility, movement control and confidence. I enjoy helping people recover from injury, manage ongoing aches and pains, and feel more capable in everyday movement or exercise.

During my physiotherapy placements, I worked with a diverse range of patient groups across NHS and private practice settings. This included experience on an acute stroke unit, orthopaedic elective wards and musculoskeletal outpatient services. I have also led Osteofit and hydrotherapy classes, supporting people to improve their strength, mobility and confidence through tailored exercise.

In Pilates classes, I often work with people experiencing ongoing aches and pains, recovering from injury, or wanting to improve their strength and mobility. Common concerns include back pain, hip pain, wrist discomfort, arthritis and stiffness that makes everyday activities or exercise more challenging.

Clients often tell me they enjoy my friendly and supportive approach and feel comfortable asking questions. They also like the variety of equipment and exercises used in class, and appreciate understanding how each exercise relates to their muscles, movement and recovery.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing padel and tennis, which definitely helps with hand-eye coordination. I’m always keen to keep learning and developing my skills, whether that’s through physiotherapy, APPI Pilates or exploring new approaches to rehabilitation.
