Physiotherapist

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2018, and since then I’ve enjoyed working across higher education, research, and physiotherapy, supporting both patients and the next generation of physiotherapists. I recently completed my PhD focused on exercise science and community-based rehabilitation.

Originally from Sri Lanka, my journey into physio started with a love for movement, helped along by love for sports and dancing, and it led me to a career where I can blend science, empathy, and creativity to help people move better and live better.

Outside of work, life mostly revolves around my lively toddler Seth (chasing after him, who’s now basically my personal HITT coach), catching up with friends, and cooking spicy Sri Lankan meals that probably too hot for most people!

Unpopular opinion – I only drink coffee when my tummy’s upset (yes, not a regular drink for me!), I’ve never liked Game of Thrones, and I firmly believe early mornings are best left to the birds.

Something that may surprise you – I once lost the ability to walk for months due to a health condition. I now help others find their way back to movement, a full circle moment I hold close!
