As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what has been another incredibly full and rewarding year at goPhysio in Chandlers Ford. It also brings us to the end of another chapter in our story, as 2026 marks 25 years since goPhysio first opened its doors in 2001 – a milestone we’ll be celebrating throughout the year. From welcoming new patients and expanding services, to growing our team and deepening our community partnerships, this year has truly embodied our purpose of Adding Life to Your Years™.

Rather than focusing purely on numbers, we like to look at what they represent: all the people we’ve helped, the differences we’ve made and the support we’ve provided. That said, a few headline figures help tell the story.

25 Years of goPhysio
Founded in 2001, goPhysio celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026. What began as Paul working from a small room at David Lloyd in Southampton (we still have patients coming back to see us who saw Paul there!) has grown into a thriving, supportive community, always grounded in the same purpose: to offer exceptional care, focused on who we help, so people don’t have to put up with pain or injury and can enjoy their lives.

Throughout 2026, we’ll be marking this milestone with a year of celebrations, including community events, free taster sessions and opportunities to help even more people take their first steps towards moving and feeling great.

Supporting Thousands of Appointments Across Our Services

Throughout 2025, our clinics supported well over 10,000 appointments across physiotherapy, sports therapy, rehabilitation, Pilates and specialist services. These included:

• Over 7,000 physiotherapy and sports therapy appointments for pain and injury
• Almost 1,400 massage appointments, supporting recovery, relaxation and wellbeing
• Hundreds of structured 1-2-1 exercise based rehabilitation programmes, helping people rebuild strength and confidence after injury
• Nearly 300 one-to-one Pilates sessions, tailored to individual needs
• Over 140 orthotics assessments, improving comfort and long‑term movement with custom insoles

Behind every appointment is a person trusting us with their care and that responsibility continues to drive everything we do.

Welcoming New Patients (and Familiar Faces)

This year we were delighted to welcome around 650 brand new patients to goPhysio, alongside many returning patients who trusted us again with their care. In total, this amounted to over 1,700 new cases supported during the year.

Whether someone joined us for the first time or returned after previous treatment, our focus remained the same: listening carefully, understanding the whole picture and providing clear, personalised care.

Pilates – An Investment in YOUR Body

Pilates continues to be a fundamental part of what we offer – and an area we’ve continued to invest in as we look ahead to our 25th anniversary year. In 2025 we delivered:

• Over 1,100 Pilates classes across mat, reformer and chair Pilates
• Around 150 Positive Steps Classes, supporting confidence, balance and long-term independence in our 0ver 60’s

Alongside this, we introduced free Pilates taster sessions, launched new Absolute Beginner classes to make Pilates more accessible than ever, and continued to build depth within our team. We were delighted to see Lottie and Kim complete their Reformer Pilates instructor training, strengthening our ability to deliver safe, high-quality classes for all levels. We also introduced a huge giveaway, with 1 lucky winner being able to enjoy a whole year of Pilates in 2026 on us.

These sessions are not just about exercise; they are about building confidence, learning to move well and helping people stay active for life.

Key Highlights from 2025

As we prepare for a year of celebrations in 2026, 2025 laid important foundations for what comes next. This year also brought some exciting milestones:

• Opening our new clinic at Ampfield Meadows, allowing us to support even more of our local community
• Starting the year with a brand‑new Shockwave machine, enhancing our ability to treat persistent tendon and soft‑tissue conditions
• Introducing Manual Lymphatic Drainage, expanding our specialist services
• Launching a dedicated service for growing children and teenagers, recognising the unique needs of young, active bodies
• Supporting the return of the Marwell 10K, and proudly being announced as Headline Sponsors for the 2026 Eastleigh 10K
• Introducing our Weekly Boost email, to keep you updated on what’s happening at goPhysio and supporting you further
• Welcoming Student Physiotherapists from Winchester & Southampton Universities on placements

Celebrating Our Team

None of this would be possible without our exceptional team. In 2025 we were thrilled to welcome Ashan, Aaron, Emily, Andrea, Elouise and Gemma to goPhysio, each bringing their own skills, energy and commitment to patient care.

We were also delighted to see Michelle promoted to Lead Patient Services, recognising her dedication to ensuring every patient experience is welcoming, organised and supportive.

And on a very personal note, we celebrated wonderful team news as Francesca welcomed her new baby.

2026 will also be a very special year for goPhysio, as we celebrate 25 years as an independent local business.
