Today is World Osteoporosis Day. Osteoporosis is a condition that weakens the bones, causing them to become less dense and therefore more easily broken.
Worldwide it is estimated that 200 million women suffer from osteoporosis. It is unknown how many men suffer but it is on the increase and can affect people of all ages.
