World Health Day 2023

World Health Day 2023 is on 7th April, and this year the World Health Organisation is championing 75 years of improving public health.

World Health Day 2023 goPhysio 2

World Heath Day is a chance to focus on and give special attention to a health problem or issue and highlight a particular theme. This year, they are focusing on Health For All.

Health For All envisions that all people have good health for a fulfilling life in a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world.

To make health for all a reality, we need: individuals and communities who have access to high quality health services so that they can take care of their own health and that of their families; skilled health workers providing quality, people-centred care; and policy-makers committed to investing in universal health coverage.

As Physiotherapists, Sports and Exercises specialists, Soft Tissue therapists and Pilates instructors, our aim here at goPhysio is to look after YOU.

World Health Day 2023 goPhysio

We see a whole host of patients come through the doors with a variety of injuries and problems. Our core values as a clinic encompasses patient centred care and putting your aims and objectives at the forefront of your recovery. The goPhysio Way is our unique approach to helping you get back to doing what you enjoy and performing at your physical best. We go beyond just helping you recover from your injury, by helping you improve your physical well-being and preventing future injuries or reoccurrences.

Our team have come up with a few top tips for keeping healthy and active:

Hannah – “Keep a consistent routine of healthy habits”

Roz – “Make the most of small amounts of time – even a 10minute walk makes a difference to physical and mental health”

Sheena – “Getting outside as soon as possible – whether that’s walking the dog earlier, or sitting outside in the garden with a coffee. The sunshine makes this even better!”

Kim – “Moderation; try not to do anything in excess”

Katie – “Make the time to look after you, and stick to it. Don’t make excuses not to invest in yourself.”

Jade – “Build consistent habits, and remember how it makes you feel to live a unhealthy lifestyle compared to an unhealthy one.”

Beverley – “Go for a daily walk, for movement and to soak in some vitamin D”

Fiona – “Have realistic expectations of yourself; if you expect too much all the time this puts an unachievable pressure on yourself, which has a negative impact.“

Francesca – “Build a realistic routine of exercise or activities that you enjoy and make you happy!”

I had a really good visit to GoPhysio. I have had sciatica for two months and it wasn't showing any signs of improvement. Sophie gave me a thorough assessment and then provided acupuncture and ultra sound. After one visit my sciatica has almost gone. I am really pleased.

I have been attending goPhysio for about two years. As a company they are very professional and provide a very good level of service to include efficiency and courtesy and are always consistent in their approach. This very much includes the admin /reception team whom are the first people you make contact with. My Physio has excellent knowledge and has assisted me with sound advice and ongoing exercise regimes which are achievable and realistic. This has supported me well in between appointments. Although always busy I am normally able to see Roz at a mutually convenient time. Thank you to all the team
