goPhysioโs Story We were lucky enough to be joined by Chloe in December 2021, as part of the Governmentโs post-Covid โKickstart Schemeโ. Chloe stepped into a new role at goPhysio, as marketing and administration assistant.
Her natural creative flair and excellent organisational skills has led to some fantastic work! With her main focus being our social media marketing, Chloe has constantly produced some wonderful posts and come up with great ideas to promote and showcase what we do at goPhysio so well.
Chloe can often be found rallying the team to film videos, with her blooper montages being a firm favourite! She has also stepped in on reception, regularly making our patient bookings and managing the diary.
In addition to her work, Chloe has spent time taking part in relevant training courses, workshops and webinars, bringing these newly learnt skills and tools into life. She also took on the role as goPhysioโs โMental Health Ambassadorโ supporting, educating and signposting our team with mental health matters. Her caring and selfless nature, always looking out for others (and making Katie a regular cracking cup of tea!), has been so heartwarming.
We were very fortunate to be able to keep Chloe on beyond her initial 6 month Kickstart period, but a year on it is time for a new adventure!
Although we are absolutely delighted and excited for Chloeโs new role, she will be greatly missed by us all at goPhysio. We have seen Chloe grow immensely in confidence and self belief. As a business owner, I was a little sceptical about the scheme at first, wondering how we, as a small business, could actually contribute to the future employability of an individual. However, together with Chloeโs hard work, talent and dedication, we have all worked to achieve exactly what the scheme was set out to achieve. And it has been an absolute pleasure and a joy.
Chloeโs Story Summer 2021 seemed to hit very hardโฆ At this time, I was in a job I was really struggling with, this being due to personal reasons but also how hard Covid19 had hit the industry I was working in. I found myself leaving this job just a few months after joining as it had taken a massive toll on my Mental Health and at the time, I needed to make myself the biggest priority.
After a few months of learning more about myself and trying to get myself back out into the world of work, I ended up receiving help from the Governments Kick Start Scheme to provide me with 6 months of contracted employment to help ease me back into a working environment. At the time, I wasnโt very confident in myself, nor confident I could do well in an interviewโฆ but I was proved wrong. I had applied for the Kick Start role at goPhysio and after an informal chat, followed by a formal interview, I was offered the job.
goPhysio were welcoming and supportive from the minute I started and have continued to offer support throughout my time here. My first few weeks here, I felt like I had bonded with the team and for the first time in my employment history, I had found a little work family!
I was given freedom to let my creativity flair, which helped massively with my confidence. After a little while of working with goPhysio, Ambassador roles were introduced and I was excited to be taking on the role of Mental Health Ambassador. This allowed me to learn more about myself and my own personal struggles, but also help the team and provide them with information and training but most importantly, a listening ear. This role and the opportunities I have been given has encouraged me to be the best version of myself and I donโt think I would be where I am or the person I am today if I didnโt get this amazing experience with goPhysio.
New adventures are on the horizon for me and I am truly going to miss my little goPhysio family so much! Although, they wonโt be able to get rid of me that easily because Iโll often be back for a Sports Massage and a natter. Chloe
More about the Kickstart Scheme
The Kickstart Scheme was set up to help employers create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds. As part of the governmentโs Plan for Jobs, the scheme created hundreds of thousands of new, fully subsidised jobs for young people across the country.
The 6 month placements were open to those aged 16-24 who were at risk of long term unemployment with additional funding to support young people to build their experience and help them move into sustained employment after they have completed their Kickstart funded job.
