How Long Can You Stand on One Leg? A Fun Challenge to Assess Your Health

It might sound like an odd concept, but your ability to stand on one leg can reveal a lot about your overall health and fitness. A study has found that, if youโ€™re aged between 18 and 39, you should aim to stand for at least 43 seconds. As you age, these times naturally decrease: 40 seconds for ages 40 to 49, 37 seconds for those 50 to 59, 30 seconds for 60 to 69, just 18 to 19 seconds for 70 to 79, and over 80s should aim for at least five seconds.

There is a simple balance challenge you can try: see how long you can maintain the flamingo pose!
