Patient Care Team

I joined goPhysio in May 2024, bringing with me 13 years of reception experience from Brooks Macdonald Asset Management. That background gave me a strong understanding of customer service, organisation and the importance of making people feel welcomed and looked after.

At goPhysio, I enjoy being part of the Patient Services team and helping patients feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. For me, a positive shift is one where Iโ€™ve worked with great colleagues, helped patients with their appointments and seen people progressing over the weeks as they get back to fitness.

My ideal day is busy, but not too rushed – a steady flow of patients, time to greet people properly, and the chance to make sure everyone feels supported. I believe a smile, politeness and taking the time to listen can make a real difference, especially when someone is coming in feeling sore, worried or unsure what to expect.

One of the things I enjoy most about working at goPhysio is seeing the patient journey unfold. Itโ€™s lovely to help someone make their first appointment, then see them progress over time and return to the things they enjoy.

I think good reception and administration is about being friendly, organised and approachable. Patients often need more than just an appointment time – they may need reassurance, a helpful conversation or simply someone who listens. Being part of that first impression is something I really value.

Outside of work, I enjoy Pilates and Zumba each week. I also love spending time at my allotment and going out walking.

Fun fact – my husband and I learnt to jive quite a few years ago, and I still love doing this whenever we can.
