Positive Steps Exercise classes for over 60's starting Wednesday 24th May!

Our new Postive Steps classes, are specifically targeted at older men and ladies who are pro-active about taking care of their bodies and staying physically well.

It is well documented that maintaining exercise and activity levels is crucial to help people stay independent and in good health as they age. 

Come and join our Postive Steps classes. Fundamental level classes are held every Wednesday from 11.15am - 12.15pm. Progressive classes will be starting soon! 

What is Postive Steps at goPhysio?

Postive Steps has been set up by the team at goPhysio forolder people who want to maintain or improve their physical wellbeing.

The aim of the Postive Steps is to:

  • Help you exercise safely, under the guidance and supervision of a clinical expert 
  • Improve your balance, strength, flexibility and fitness 
  • Incresae your confidence 

What do the classes involve?

  • Classes will start with a gentle group warm up
  • The circuit based exercise class will led by one of our Physiotherapists or Sports and Rehabilitation Therapists
  • A range of exercises designed to improve your fitness, strength, flexibility, mobility, posture and stability 
  • Education and advice to help you optimse your physical health
  • With small class sizes, the exercises will be tailored to you individually at the right level and you will have expert support and guidance throughout

There will be 2 levels of class, a fundamental class that will be a gentle, mainly chair based exercise class and a progressive class, that will challenge you a littel more. The classes will work on aerobic exercise, strength training, weight bearing exercises and gentle strengthening, all under the close supervision of a specialist Sports & Rehabilitation Therapist. 

 How do I attend the Positive Steps course?

You can buy class passes for all of our studio classes, including Positive Steps, online. A single class costs £12.50 (1 month expiry), 5 class pass £55 (2 month expiry) or 10 class pass £100 (3 month expiry). Class passes can be used for all our studio classes (with the exeption of Clinical Pilates), including pregnancy Pilates, Mum and baby Pilates, Yoga and Active Backs, exercise classes for older people.
